Cookie & Analytics Notice
1. Purpose
This Notice explains how the UMI website uses cookies and similar measurement and analytics technologies.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files or identifiers that a browser may store on your device to help operate a website, remember a setting or measure usage.
Not all analytics tools rely on cookies, so this Notice also covers similar measurement technologies.
3. Strictly necessary technologies
The website may use technologies necessary to operate or secure the website or perform a function requested by the user.
These technologies are not used for behavioral advertising and may operate without separate consent where necessary to provide the requested function or protect the website.
4. Website preferences
The website may use local storage or a similar technology to remember a choice such as language or an interface preference where that function is enabled.
5. Vercel Web Analytics
UMI uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure:
- visits and page views;
- commonly viewed pages and routes;
- referral sources;
- approximate country or region;
- device type, operating system and browser; and
- limited custom events related to website performance.
Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies to track visitors and does not create a persistent identifier across websites. Visitor measurement relies on an anonymized derived identifier that resets daily, and the visitor identifier is discarded after 24 hours.
UMI does not send names, phone numbers, email addresses or Request Demo form content to Vercel Web Analytics as event properties.
6. Google Analytics 4
UMI uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure:
- users and sessions;
- page views;
- traffic source, medium and campaigns;
- device and browser type;
- approximate geolocation; and
- core events such as important CTA clicks and successful Request Demo submissions.
When GA4 is enabled, it may use first-party cookies including:
- `_ga` to distinguish users; and
- `_ga_<container-id>` to persist session state.
Google’s default expiration for these cookies may be up to two years, subject to browser-imposed limits.
UMI configures GA4 user-level and event data retention to 14 months.
7. Consent for Google Analytics
UMI treats Google Analytics as non-essential analytics.
GA4 analytics storage should not be enabled before a user chooses to allow analytics through the website privacy-preference control.
Users can:
- accept analytics;
- reject non-essential analytics; and
- change their choice later through a visible Privacy Settings / Cookie Settings link.
Rejecting GA4 does not prevent use of the website’s core functions.
8. Advertising and retargeting
The website does not currently use Google Ads remarketing, personalized advertising or retargeting tools.
If UMI later enables advertising or additional tracking technologies, this Notice will be updated and appropriate consent controls will be implemented before activation where required.
9. Transfers
Google or Vercel may process analytics information using infrastructure located outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
UMI handles any transfer of Personal Data outside the Kingdom in accordance with applicable Saudi requirements.
10. Browser controls
You may delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain necessary technologies may affect a function that relies on them.
11. Changes
This Notice may be updated when website tools or analytics settings change. The latest update date appears at the top of the page.
